Hello Everyone,
It is that time of year again. Most of you are familiar with the Omega Showboat. This is the 7th time that we are conducting this event. New for 2009 will be the opportunity for Vendor/Exhibitors to display a table at the event. I would like for you to audition for the 2009 event or if your know of anyone who may be interested in participating or would like to have a table at the event - please email me with the information.
The Omega Showboat docks at the newly remodeled Crown Plaza Hotel in Colorado Springs on Saturday evening, November 14, 2009 at 6 PM. Brothers of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Chapter located in New York City created the original Omega Showboat as a talent show for adults in the 1930s, and continued to sponsor it into the 1940s as a fundraising event with proceeds used to assist young men and women pursuing their collegiate education.
The Omega Showboat patrons are treated to a fast-paced evening of 10-12 performances of the finest amateur entertainers in the Pikes Peak Region. A panel of entertainment professionals judges each act according to standardized criteria and awards a prize package totaling $1,500 to the top 3 performers.
This outstanding event also includes a live disc jockey and dancing immediately following the performances, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar is available for your enjoyment.
